Screen color (RGB) and print color (CMYK) are different systems, so a design can look brighter on your monitor than it does on paper. Choosing print-friendly colors and proofing first is how you avoid surprises.
- Deep, saturated colors like navy, burgundy, and forest green translate well to print.
- Neon and very bright colors tend to look muted once printed.
- Design in CMYK, or convert before submitting, so you approve the printed values.
- Order a proof or sample to confirm color accuracy before committing to a large run.
