Can I print a QR code with metallic or raised foil stamping?

No. A QR code printed in a metallic finish, whether regular or raised foil stamping, will not scan reliably. The metallic coating reflects light and disrupts the contrast a scanner needs to read the code.

• Print the QR code in standard flat ink, ideally dark on a light background.
• You can still use foil elsewhere on the piece, just not on the code itself.
• Test any code with a phone before you commit to a full run.
