Question
What is the minimum file resolution required for printing?
Answer
Print resolution should be at least 300 DPI for every image and graphic in your file. Below that, edges and text look soft or pixelated once printed, even if they look fine on screen.
| Product | Minimum pixel dimensions at 300 DPI |
|---|---|
| Business card (with bleed) | approximately 1050 x 600 pixels |
- Design and export at 300 DPI from the start. You cannot recover detail by upscaling a low-res image later.
- If a file is rejected for low resolution, upload a corrected version from your account.
- To re-upload: log in, select the order number, and click the Upload button.
Vector art scales cleanly at any size, so logos and type built as vector avoid resolution problems altogether.
