What file formats and specifications do you need for booklets?
Answer
A print-ready PDF built to the finished trim size is the most reliable format for booklets, because it holds fonts, images and page order in one file. Other standard design files such as AI and PSD also work when a PDF is not an option.

- Keep important text and images at least 1/8 inch inside the trim so they clear the cut.
- Arrange pages in sequence and let the printer handle imposition for binding. Typically the front cover is page 1 and the inside front cover is page 2; check numbering with support if unsure.
- Use the same size and bleed on every page so the booklet trims evenly.
