What happens when I approve a proof? Can I make changes after approval?
Answer
Approving a proof is your final sign-off. You confirm the artwork is finished and ready to print exactly as shown, and the job is released toward production, so changes after approval have to go through support.
- Review first: check spelling, layout, images, colors, sizing and placement carefully before you approve.
- Your responsibility: typos, missed details and last-minute changes found after approval are on you.
- Changes before approval: reject the proof and add your revision comments, or upload a corrected file when you reject; a new proof is generated from the revised artwork.
- Trying alternatives: request new proofs with revised artwork before you approve.
- After approval: the artwork, paper or quantity can still change before printing starts, but only through support, so contact support right away. Once printing has started, a corrected version requires a new order.
If you are unsure, reject the proof and ask for a revision rather than approving.
