Question

How do I authorize an order to print after receiving a proof?

Answer

Approving the proof and authorizing the order are two separate steps. After you review and approve, you still need to open the order and give it the final authorization to print, which is what actually releases it to production.

  • Step 1: review the posted proof for layout, color, and text.
  • Step 2: approve the proof if everything looks correct.
  • Step 3: go into your order and authorize it to print, which sends it to the pressroom.

Until that authorization is submitted, the job stays on hold, so nothing prints by accident while you are still reviewing.
