My payment shows charged but the order says declined-what happened?
When your statement shows a charge but the order reads as declined, you are almost always looking at a pending authorization hold rather than a completed capture. Banks place these temporary holds to verify funds, and they usually fall off on their own.
- An authorization hold reserves the amount but does not actually collect it, so no real payment has been taken yet.
- These holds typically clear within a few business days if the order did not go through.
- Do not place a second order to work around it, since that can create a duplicate hold.
Contact support with your order number and the exact amount you see charged. The team can check whether the payment captured and get your order status corrected.
If the charge does not drop off, send support your order number or account email and a statement or screenshot from your bank showing the charge, and the team investigates and resolves it.
