Yes, 4OVER4 can print white ink on black stock, but the paper you choose has a big effect on how bright that white looks. On uncoated stock the ink soaks in and the white reads softer and more muted.
- For the most vibrant result: 16pt gloss cover with a hi-gloss finish keeps blacks deep and printing sharp.
- On uncoated cover: ink is absorbed into the paper, so colors and white ink appear more muted.
- If you prefer a non-glossy look: a soft-touch varnish on 16pt uncoated is an alternative worth discussing with the team.
