The online design tool includes a dedicated background control, so you do not have to draw a shape to fill the canvas. Use the add background option to drop in a solid color and it will sit behind every other element automatically.
- Open add background: find the add background option in the tool and select it.
- Pick a solid color: choose the color you want the whole canvas to use.
- Enter a precise value: type a CMYK or HEX code when the background needs to match a specific brand color.
- Extend past the trim: make sure the color reaches the bleed edge so no white slivers appear after cutting.
Because the background fills the entire space, add it first and then layer your text, logos, and images on top.
