Will your Car Magnets damage or stick to my car door?

Damage is very rare, and complaints are unusual. To be safe, we recommend testing a sample of the magnet on the specific vehicle you plan to use it on.

• First confirm the panel is magnet-receptive. The magnet needs steel to hold.
• Apply only to a clean, dry, smooth surface with no dirt or grit trapped underneath.
• Lift and reposition the magnet every so often so debris and moisture do not build up under it.
• Keep both the magnet and the paint clean to avoid marking.

Following these steps keeps the paint safe while the magnet holds firmly.

• Use flat, smooth metal panels; avoid curved or plastic areas where the magnet cannot sit flush.
• Do not apply over fresh paint that has not fully cured.
• Remove the magnet before a car wash, and take it off every couple of weeks to clean both surfaces with a damp cloth, especially after long stretches of rain.
• Store it flat between uses so it does not curl.
