How do I set up a file for 3D foil business cards?

For 3D foil business cards, the foil is defined by a black foil mask that lives in its own separate file, not as a layer inside your print artwork. The mask tells production which areas of the card should have foil applied.

To set it up cleanly:

• Keep the foil mask as a standalone file, separate from the front and back print files
• Follow the file setup requirements listed in the product instructions
• Use solid black for the foil areas so the mask reads clearly
