Can 4OVER4 apply gold foil to QR codes on business cards?

4OVER4 does not recommend applying gold foil or other special finishes directly over a QR code, because the reflective or textured finish can stop the code from scanning reliably.

• Keep the QR code itself in the standard printed ink so scanners read it every time.
• If you want foil or another finish nearby, apply it to surrounding elements rather than the code.
• Build the QR code in vector format so the edges stay crisp at any size.
• Keep the code at least 0.8 inch so it scans reliably on a small card.
