What paper stock should I use for a product that needs to wrap around items without cracking?

When a print has to wrap around a curved item without the surface cracking, skip thick rigid card stock and reach for a thinner, more flexible material that bends with the shape.

• Vinyl and synthetic label stock: conforms to bottles, jars, tubes, and other curves without splitting.
• Lighter paper weights: better for folding and wrapping than heavy cover stock, which creases and cracks at the fold.
• Adhesive films: pressure-sensitive materials sit flat against tight curves and stay put.

As a rule, the tighter the curve, the thinner and more pliable the stock should be. For an unusual shape or surface, a flexible vinyl or synthetic label material is the most reliable starting point.
