Question
What are A-series (A4, A5) paper sizes?
Answer
The A-series is the international ISO paper standard where each size is exactly half the one before it, so proportions stay consistent as you scale up or down.
| Size | Millimeters | Inches (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 x 297 mm | 8.3 x 11.7 in |
| A5 | 148 x 210 mm | 5.8 x 8.3 in |
| A6 | 105 x 148 mm | 4.1 x 5.8 in |
A4 is the common letter-equivalent, A5 is half of A4, and A6 is half of A5. Because the ratio is preserved, artwork scales between sizes without redesign.
