What file dimensions should I use for a custom print size?

Your file should be built at the exact finished dimensions of the print, not scaled up or down, so the proportions match what comes off the press.

• Match the finished size: a print that is 60 inches high by 36 inches wide should be set up as a 60 x 36 inch file at the same proportions.
• Keep orientation right: make sure height and width in the file match how the piece will hang or be displayed.
• Large-format tip: big sizes can be built at a reduced scale (for example, half size) as long as the resolution stays high enough for the full print.
