What's the best material to use for an A-frame sign if I already have the frame?

If you already own the A-frame and only need a new insert, the material has to be rigid enough to sit in the frame channel but light enough to slide in and out easily. A few options work well.

• 4mm corrugated plastic (coroplast): the most common A-frame insert. Rigid, lightweight, weatherproof, and inexpensive, which makes it ideal for frequent swaps.
• Rigid PVC: smoother surface and a bit more premium, good for indoor retail frames.
• Foam core: only for indoor, short-term use since it does not hold up outdoors.

Measure the frame's insert opening first and size your artwork to those exact dimensions so it seats snugly without bowing.
