Question

What file format should I use when submitting poster artwork?

Answer

A print-ready PDF gives large-format posters the sharpest, most color-accurate output.

  • Export as PDF in CMYK color mode
  • Set the resolution to 300 DPI
  • Embed or outline fonts so the layout holds
  • Flatten layers before you export
  • Include bleed per the template
  • If your design needs a scannable link, add the QR code before you export the final file

Other formats work too: TIFF is excellent for flattened, high-resolution artwork, JPEG is acceptable when saved at maximum quality and full resolution, and AI, PSD, and EPS files are also accepted. PDF remains the safest bet for preserving fonts and layout.
