What are overs and why do I receive them with my order?
Answer
Overs are the extra copies included with a print order as a standard practice across the industry. They exist so you still receive the full quantity you paid for, even if a few pieces are damaged along the way.
- To absorb normal waste during printing
- To cover pieces nicked during cutting and finishing
- To protect against damage in shipping
The number of overs varies by job type and quantity, so a large run may include more spares than a small one. Overs are a safeguard, not an error, and there is no extra charge for the pieces that arrive intact.
