Question
What is a print-ready PDF?
Answer
A print-ready PDF is a file that already contains everything a press needs, with no further prep required. PDF itself stands for Portable Document Format.
- A print-ready PDF has all the specifications necessary to produce the job.
- It is set to the correct final size with bleed included.
- Colors are in CMYK and images are 300 dpi at final size.
- Fonts are embedded or outlined so nothing shifts.
A file that meets these points can go straight into production.
