Question
What are the differences Between High Quality Print & Press Quality PDF presets in Adobe Acrobat?
Answer
Both PDF presets in Adobe Acrobat produce a good file, but Press Quality is built specifically for commercial printing, while High Quality Print leans toward general high-grade output.
- Both the Standard and Professional versions of Adobe Acrobat let you create and fine-tune PDF files.
- The right preset depends on whether the file is for lower-grade or true press output.
- Press Quality preserves the most color and image data for a commercial press.
- High Quality Print is a strong general preset but is a step below Press Quality for professional printing.
For a commercial print job, Press Quality is the safer starting point.
