The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is one solid source of guidance for responsible marketing and reducing unwanted mail.
- Choose a printer with recognized environmental credentials such as FSC certification
- Print on recycled or FSC-certified stock whenever the project allows
- Favor soy inks and low-VOC inks over solvent-heavy options
- Right-size your quantities to cut waste and store leftover pieces properly
- Recycle paper waste and design pieces that recipients are likely to keep or reuse
