Question
Anatomy of a Roll Label
Answer
Every roll label is built from a few layers working together. Knowing what each one does helps you choose the right combination for how and where your labels will be used.
| Layer | What it is |
|---|---|
| Facestock | The material we print on: semi-gloss, white BOPP, clear BOPP, white vinyl and more |
| Adhesive | The type of "stickiness" that bonds the label to your product |
| Liner | The backing the labels are wound onto, which peels away when the label is applied |
The facestock sets the look and feel, the adhesive controls how it sticks, and the liner carries the labels on the roll until they are used.
