How many invitations should I order?

Order 10 to 15% more invitations than your guest count. That cushion covers the extras you will inevitably need, and it is far cheaper to print them in the same run than to place a second order later.

• Count households, not people: one invitation per couple or family, since one invitation goes to each address.
• Add a buffer: 10 to 15% over your headcount covers late additions, damaged envelopes, and keepsakes.
• Example: 80 households on the list means ordering about 90 to 95 invitations.
• Keep a few: one for yourself and one for the album.
• Avoid a reorder: per-unit cost usually drops at higher quantities, so extras are cheap up front and a second short run costs more per piece.

Padding the first order slightly is the cheapest insurance against coming up short.
