What Material Are Metal Prints Made From?

Metal prints are made from high-grade aluminum sheets with a specially coated surface designed to receive ink. The image is not printed on top of the metal but infused into that coating.

• Dye-sublimation process: heat and pressure turn the inks to gas so they bond into the coating at a molecular level.
• Permanent bond: because the image lives inside the surface, there is no ink layer to peel, crack, or flake.
