Can you print directly on gator board?
Answer
Yes. Gator board takes direct printing very well, and you can also mount printed material to it if you want a different finish. The wood-fiber face gives ink a solid surface to bond to.
- UV-cured flatbed inkjet printers apply ink straight onto the wood-fiber surface.
- Direct printing produces vivid, durable graphics with no separate mounting or lamination step.
- You can alternatively mount printed vinyl or paper onto the board for added finish options.
- Mounting is useful when you want a specific laminate or texture the direct print does not provide.
