Can foamcore be used outdoors?

Standard foamcore is an indoor material. Moisture and direct sun will warp or degrade it, so it is best kept out of the weather.

• For short-term outdoor events, lamination adds a little protection but will not make it weatherproof
• For permanent or long-term outdoor signage, choose coroplast or aluminum instead
• Indoors, foamcore stays flat and rigid for mounted graphics and easel displays

If your sign has to survive rain, wind, or months of sun, treat foamcore as the wrong tool and step up to a weatherproof substrate.
