How many envelopes can I make from one sheet of paper?

Yield depends on the sheet size you start with and the finished envelope you want. Bigger formats waste less because the flaps have room to fold.

• Always leave at least 1.5" of extra paper on each side for the flaps.
• Larger envelopes need proportionally larger sheets, so a #10 will not come from letter-size stock.
• Using a template or die keeps every fold consistent across a batch.

For anything past a small handful, ordering pre-made envelopes is faster and far more uniform than cutting your own.
