What is a kiss cut and how does it work with adhesive vinyl?

A kiss cut is a partial cut that goes through the vinyl face layer but stops at the backing, so each piece lifts off cleanly while the sheet underneath stays whole. It is the standard cut for multi-sticker sheets and easy-peel labels.

• Face only: the blade cuts just deep enough to slice the vinyl and adhesive, reaching the liner and stopping there.
• Easy peel: individual pieces come off without picking at the backing.
• Great for adhesive vinyl: stickers meant for glass, walls, and other smooth surfaces.
• Multiple shapes: several designs can share one sheet, and the liner keeps every sticker in place until you need it.

This differs from a through cut, which slices all the way through both the vinyl and the backing to make separate pieces.
