How do you install a Coroplast sign in a yard?
Answer
Installing a corrugated plastic (Coroplast) sign in a yard takes seconds with a wire H-stake and no tools. The key is matching the stake to the direction of the flutes, the hollow channels running through the plastic.
- Check the flute direction: the sign needs vertical flutes so the stake's wires can slide up inside them.
- Insert the H-stake: push the two horizontal wires of the H-stake into the top and bottom flute channels.
- Set it in the ground: press the stake legs straight down into the soil until the sign sits at the height you want.
- No tools needed in normal soil.
- Hard or dry ground: pre-poke holes with a screwdriver, or water the area first to soften it.
- Windy spots: a double H-stake or angling the sign slightly can add stability.
To remove it, rock the stake gently back and forth and lift straight up so the wires slide cleanly out of the flutes.
