Coroplast is made from polypropylene, which carries recycling code #5. That makes it recyclable in many municipal programs, though acceptance is not universal.
- Check your local recycling guidelines first, since not every facility accepts #5 plastics.
- Remove any wire stakes or hardware before recycling, as those belong in a separate stream.
- Reuse is often the greener move: pull the stakes, wipe the board down, and repurpose it for a new message. Signs stored out of direct sun can go back out season after season.
