Question
Are roll labels and premium labels made from the same paper stock?
Answer
No, roll labels and premium labels are printed on different paper stocks, so they are not a one-to-one match. That matters for proofing: if your final order is roll labels, a premium-label sample will not accurately show how the roll version looks and feels.
- Roll labels and premium labels use different materials
- Finish, thickness, and adhesive can differ between them
- Test with roll label stock if you plan to order on a roll
- Ask for the matching stock when you request samples
