Does die-cutting cost extra on top of the print price?

Yes. Die-cutting is a separate production step, so it carries a charge in addition to the base print price. On online die-cut products that cost is built into the configurator price, with no separate one-time die fee.

• Added cost: die-cutting is billed on top of the print price, not included in it.
• Custom shapes: a Basic Shape is included on die-cut products, and a Complex Shape adds a fixed amount, such as $30 on any-shape business cards.
• What drives the cost: the product and how intricate the outline is.
• Standard rectangles: if you do not need a custom cut, you avoid the die-cutting charge entirely.
