What materials and thickness options are available for large custom signs?
Answer
Large custom signs are usually printed on one of three rigid substrates, each with a different thickness and set of strengths. Matching the material to the environment matters more than picking the thickest option.

- For weather exposure, coroplast or rigid PVC hold up far better than foam core.
- For the flattest, most premium indoor look, foam core or PVC give a smoother face than corrugated plastic.
For long-term outdoor signs, aluminum signs are the most durable choice.
