Why is tax showing on my order even though I have tax-exempt status?

Tax can appear in your cart and during ordering even when your account is approved as tax-exempt. If your status is on file, that displayed tax is removed at final processing and you are not actually charged it.

• Why you see it: tax may show in the cart and checkout view by default.
• What actually happens: approved tax-exempt accounts are not charged tax, and it is removed at final processing.
• Account-wide: your tax-exempt status applies to all orders placed on that account.

If a final invoice still shows tax, contact support with your order details so we can correct it.
