Question

Once an order is approved and sent to print, can I make changes to it?

Answer

No. After you approve an order and it is sent to print, no further changes can be made to that job. Approval is the commitment point.

  • Once approved and sent to print, the file is final.
  • Review your proof carefully before you approve it.
  • Check text and spelling, images, colors, bleed, margins, resolution, and specs such as size, quantity, stock, and finish while there is still time to fix them.
  • Hold off on approval if anything looks off.

If you catch a mistake immediately after approving, call support at once with your order number: when the job has not physically reached the press, a file swap may still be possible and a corrected free online proof can be reposted for your review. Pulling a job back is not guaranteed, since orders are often ganged with other jobs, and any change at that stage goes back through proofing and will very likely move your delivery date. Once printing has started, the job runs as submitted and a new order is required for corrections.
