What paper stocks can I choose for Ripcards?

Rip cards, also called perforated tear-off cards, need a stock that tears cleanly along the perforation while still surviving a wallet, pocket, or mailer. Cardstock in the mid to heavy range handles both jobs well.

• 16pt cardstock: thick and premium, ideal when the card should feel substantial
• 14pt cardstock: a durable, all-purpose weight for most rip card uses
• Gloss or matte coating: gloss pops the color, matte keeps a cleaner, writable look
• Lighter text stocks: keep costs down on high-volume mailings

Match the weight to the use: heavier stock for a keeper card, lighter stock when you are mailing in bulk.
