Does 4OVER4 print foil in combination with process colors?

4OVER4 prints in CMYK process color, and foil is applied as a separate physical layer. Because foil is a metallic film pressed onto the sheet, it cannot be printed over or under CMYK ink in the exact same spot. Foil can sit in its own areas of the design, but it will not overlap process-color inks in the same location.

• Foil zones: place foil on specific elements such as logos, text, or accents.
• Process zones: keep full-color artwork in separate areas from the foil.
• Avoid overlap: do not stack foil and CMYK on the same coordinates.

If your design needs both effects, separate them in your file so each has its own clean area.
