Can I combine different finishing techniques on the same product?
In many cases, yes. A number of products support layering more than one finishing technique, which lets you build a richer, more custom look.
- Foil on one area with a different treatment elsewhere.
- Spot UV combined with a specialty stock or laminate.
- Raised effects paired with a metallic or glitter surface.
Availability depends on the specific product, so check the options on the product page or confirm your intended combination with support.
Popular pairings include a soft-touch or velvet laminate with spot UV, and foil over embossing. Avoid stacking two heavy textures in the same spot, since one can flatten the other. Specialty finishes such as foil, embossing and spot UV add about 1 to 2 business days to production; laminations add none.
