Question
What are the page requirements for saddle-stitched booklets?
Answer
Saddle-stitched booklets are built in page-count increments because of how the binding works. Each sheet is folded in half and stapled at the spine, so every sheet adds pages in a set group and the total needs to land on a valid increment.
- Increment: pages are added in multiples of 4.
- A file may need to move up or down to the nearest valid count.
- Blank pages can be inserted to reach the required total.
- The cover counts toward the page total.
Check the page-count guidance on the booklet product page, or contact support and the team can help you set the correct page count for your file.
