What's the difference between Spot UV and Raised Spot UV?

Spot UV is a flat, shiny layer applied to the exact spot where you want a high-gloss coating on your printed piece. Raised spot UV uses the same targeted gloss idea, but the UV-cured resin is built up in multiple layers so it stands above the surface. The difference is dimension: flat versus raised.
