Question
What resolution should I use alongside my color profile?
Answer
Use 300 DPI as the minimum for every print file, whatever color profile you work in. The right color profile keeps colors accurate, but only resolution keeps text and images sharp.
- 300 DPI minimum, at final print size, for CMYK and converted RGB alike.
- Lower resolutions cause blurry text and pixelated images even when the color is correct.
- Export as PDF/X-1a for the most reliable, press-ready result.
