Question
What is the standard finish on bookmarks, and how does it differ from UV coating?
Answer
Standard bookmarks print on gloss cover stock, which comes pre-coated for a smooth finish, with no extra coating applied over the ink. UV coating is an optional upgrade: a protective varnish layer cured over the printed design for extra shine and durability.
| Standard finish | UV coating | |
|---|---|---|
| Extra layer | No, pre-coated gloss cover stock | Yes, cured varnish |
| Shine | Smooth gloss | Higher gloss |
| Durability | Standard | Tougher, more scuff resistant |
- Choose the finish you want as you configure the bookmark order.
