Question
Are gloss laminated cards water resistant or waterproof?
Answer
Gloss Laminated Cards are water resistant but not waterproof. The gloss film seals the surface, so the cards stand up well to a small amount of water or a quick wipe, but they are not made to survive being soaked or submerged.
- Water resistant: shrugs off light moisture and the occasional splash
- Not waterproof: extended contact with water can still damage the card
- Best practice: dry off any moisture quickly and keep cards out of standing water
- The gloss lamination also boosts durability and gives a bright, shiny finish
