Question
What is the approval process for rush orders with proofs?
Answer
Rush orders that include a proof follow the same approval path as a standard order, just on a tighter clock. Your production time does not start until every proof is signed off, so approving quickly is the single biggest thing you can do to keep a rush job on schedule.
- Digital proof first: after you place the order, 4OVER4 sends a digital proof so you can review layout, color break, and text.
- Optional printed proof: if you want to verify color or finish on the actual stock, you can request a physical printed proof before committing.
- Final approval: once you approve, the file is released to press and the production countdown begins from that moment.
- Business days only: turnaround is counted in business days, so weekends and holidays do not count toward your production window.
Because the clock starts at approval rather than at checkout, review your proof as soon as it lands to protect your in-hands date.
