How do I setup a Spot UV job?

Setting up a Spot UV job takes two files: your normal print artwork and a separate Spot UV mask file. The mask shows our press exactly where the glossy Spot UV coating should land on the finished piece.

• Regular print file: your full-color design as usual
• Spot UV mask file: a matching file marking where the UV coating goes, typically as solid black shapes on a white background
• Match them up: the mask must align with the artwork elements you want coated
• Use Spot UV to highlight logos, text and accents for contrast against the uncoated areas
