Foil in particular has design limits worth knowing early. The foil element should be a clear, solid shape (a simple solid area foils cleanly, while very fine lines or tiny detailed marks may not hold). Foil jobs go through design approval and run on tighter production deadlines, so it helps to confirm your artwork with support before you place the order.

Foil goes on as a real metallic or holographic layer, so it catches light in a way ink alone cannot.
