Question

What paper types are available for foil printing?

Answer

4OVER4 can apply metallic foil across several stock types, and the surface you choose changes how the foil reads. Foil works on both light and colored papers, which opens up a lot of creative pairings.

  • Matte stock - the low-sheen background makes bright foil stand out with strong contrast.
  • Satin stock - a soft luster that blends smoothly with metallic accents.
  • Colored paper - foil can be laid over color stock for bold, layered designs.

You can browse the available foil paper combinations on the 4OVER4 metallic foil product pages, or reach out to customer service if you need a specification that is not shown online.
