Can I order banners with special effects like embossing?
Answer
Traditional embossing is not practical on banners. Embossing presses a raised texture into rigid or thick stock, while banners are large, flexible vinyl or fabric that will not hold that kind of dimensional detail.
- On banners: impact comes from bold color, high-contrast type, and large graphics rather than texture.
- For a dimensional feel: textured finishes like embossing or debossing live on card stock products such as business cards, postcards, and invitations.
- Specialty banner looks: mesh, fabric, and double-sided blockout each change the appearance in ways that suit large format.
If a tactile, raised effect is essential to the piece, a card stock product is the better home for it than a banner or sign.
