"Bleed" is a printing term used to indicate the area that will be trimmed off after the job is printed and cut down to the finished size. Since the bleed extends 1/8" all around the card, your document set-up should be 1/4" taller (1/8" on top and 1/8" on the bottom) and 1/4" wider (1/8" on the left and 1/8" on the right) than the finished size of the card. The chart below indicates what the document set-up should be for a particular finished size.
Be aware that text or images too close to the TRIM LINE (shown in SOLID PINK) will be cut off. Make sure that your background image extends 1/8" past the TRIM LINE.
In the above illustration, the background image needs to extend to the BLUE LINE. Be sure to extend the background image to bleed or the white of the paper may show in the final cut down product. The chart above indicates what the document set-up should be for a particular finished size

Die Cut Flyers Printing Online
Promotional flyers get thrashed every day. Surely, you don’t want your flyers to end up in the bin. Fortunately, with die-cut flyers, customers don’t just think your flyers are memorable. They are notable enough to be preserved. Die-cut flyers let you design and print a flyer in shapes of your choosing. Choose between unique conventional shapes, or create a unique flyer shape of your choice.
With custom die-cut flyers, no longer stress over making the mark with your promotional flyers.
Die-cutting utilizes specially shaped blades (die) made from wood or rubber to cut through paper. This cut can be through several layers of paper. Thus allowing the operator to create an identical and unique design.
To ensure you get your desired shape, skilled technicians bend these dies into the precise shape of your design. As a result, it is common to print otherwise impossible shape designs.
Die-cut shapes are limitless, but there are 6 standard flyer shapes that are unique and ready to use.
Rounded one corner
Half circle side
Die-cut shapes can be ambiguous and thus difficult to pick a single design. But the standard shapes take some of that difficulty away. That means you can have a unique flyer without thinking or planning for too long.
For instance, you can promote your business on die-cut leaflets shaped in an eye-grabbing format without spending all your time on flyer design. The standard shapes are only for your convenience, and you can still choose less conventional flyer shape options.
But you don’t have to stay limited to these 6 shapes. Take advantage of ANY SHAPE ANY SIZE PAPER to print your flyers in any shape and size of your liking… as far as your imagination can take you. Alternatively, check out our extensive custom gallery collection of over 80 professional ready-made trims to ease the stress of coming up with your own shapes. Promote your business with style.
Customize your flyers with our gloss paper option. It’s an unwritten requirement to print your flyers in a glossy finish. An inferior finish will be passed over and ignored. Alternatively, you can print on synthetic plastic. These plastics come off as superior to paper. They are more durable and appear prestigious. The slightly added cost of printing on synthetic plastic can be made worthwhile by the extra glare on your flyer and the increase in the number of qualified leads. Check out other printing materials on the Instant price calculator.
Pick a flyer size to meet your campaign needs. Some of the most common flyer sizes you can pick from include:
4” x 6”
Ordering custom-cut flyers on 4OVER4 is straightforward. Go on to the instant price calculator and choose the flyer size and shape that you want.
Also, pick the customizations for your flyer. Some customizations might be the quantity, paper type, and ink color. These choices ensure you can print quality flyers at affordable prices. Also, pick your print turnaround for timely delivery.

A huge part of landing your dream job or attracting the attention of potential customers is how you present yourself to your audience. Powerful communication tools are a must. And personalized cards can exude charm and highlight your business persona. Here is a list of do's and don'ts when it comes to this must-have print product:
I have a border or carefully centered graphic as a part of my design, are they going to be ok? If centering your artwork is critical, we generally do not recommend borders. However, if the borders are to be printed, the borders should be at least 1/4" thick in order for them to appear even as possible after we trim your order. If the borders are small, there is a risk that a part of them will get cut off or look uneven as there may be a shift of up to 1/8" when cutting.
