Although you might be inclined to doing everything yourself on your wedding day- realistically, you won’t have time!
There are so many things that need to come together at the same time, that it’s best to delegate responsibilities beforehand so that you can tend to the important stuff.
If you have multiple vendors coming, assign one person to take care of one vendor- this way they can deal with the minor issues that may arise with them, such as last minute touch ups on the cake.
If the parents of the bride or groom are taking on the food served at the reception, make sure they have enough help so they can enjoy themselves at the wedding too.
Here are some other things that I’ve found that may also be applicable to your wedding:
- After–wedding cleanup
- Airport pickup and drop off of guests
- Babysitting and entertainment of children at the ceremony and reception venues
- Baking the cake
- Chairs and tables setup
- Checking on restroom baskets, religious items, seat reservation cards, etc.
- Delivery of gifts to the couple’s home
- Delivery of guest baskets to the hotels
- Deposit of gift checks in the bank
- Special transportation (vintage cars, etc.)
- Confirmation and on schedule calls
- Collection of disposable cameras
- Distribution of party favors
- Guest pickup at the house of worship or ceremony and drop off at the reception venue
- Guest pick up from and drop off at hotels
- Party decoration
- Preparation of party favors
- Invitation hand or computer calligraphy
- Food preparation
- Returning rentals (tuxedos, chairs, tables, etc.)
- Serving of food
- Preparation of desserts
